The BYU Cougars are getting a boost in their roster as key players Faletau Satuala and others announce their return in 2026. This news comes as a surprise to many, especially after the departure of Jay Hill to Michigan. But here's where it gets controversial... However, the former four-star recruit and Bountiful High product has decided to stay in Provo for his third campaign with the Cougars. As a sophomore in 2025, Satuala led all BYU defenders with 83 total tackles and earned second-team All-American honors. But this isn't the only exciting news for the Cougars. Wide receiver Parker Kingston, defensive end Nusi Taumoepeau, cornerback Tre Alexander, and safety Raider Damuni have also announced their plans to stick with Kalani Sitake's program. Kingston, who racked up 1,277 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns in 2025, is a key player for the Cougars. After missing the start of the season due to injury, Taumoepeau made a strong impact with 12 tackles and a sack. Alexander and Damuni also had impressive seasons, with Alexander starting 11 games and making 34 total tackles, and Damuni logging 43 tackles and an interception.
