The good
The underlying Android OS makes this projector more than just a 'gaming' device. It includes an easily hung projection screen and 80 built-in games. However, the included controllers are cheap and awful, and the integrated speakers are quite painful. Many of the included games are poor at best, and the projector has a slow input response. Emulation in Australia is legally sketchy (to put it politely).
The not-so-good
While the Laser Portable Gaming Projector is a basic projector with a resolution of just 1280x720, it's not ideal for gaming. The included games are mostly mediocre, and the projector struggles with input lag and frame rates. The value equation is tricky, as the price is high for a basic 720p projector, but it does come with licensed games. However, these games are not the true classics that most gamers are looking for.
In my opinion, the Laser Portable Gaming Projector is a genuinely interesting device, but it's not ideal for gamers. The included controllers are lightweight and feel bad, and the onboard emulation is laggy. The integrated speaker does no content, gaming or otherwise any favours. I would recommend reaching for your older retro console instead. Overall, the projector has a rating of 2.5/5.
